ABOUT US | COMPLETE ARCHIVE | CURRENT GAME |
We take turns to write episodes of stories more-or-less in the setting of the Aubrey / Maturin novels, faking Patrick O'Brian's style to the best of our abilities. It's a sort of co-operative, literary cryptic crossword puzzle. We have been playing very intermittently since the late 90s. Who are we? There are some player biographies for the morbidly curious. The Mornington Crescent part of the title comes from the well-known game popularised in the UK on Radio 4's I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue. PO'BMC is based on Mornington Crescent in the broad sense of players speaking in English and taking turns. The main page shows some of the stories that we particularly enjoyed creating. |
